About

Nupur Joshi is an Indian classical vocalist, trained under Dr. Vikas Kashalkar and Shalmalee Joshi in Hindustani classical music and in Carnatic classical by Mrs. Shivaprasad Iyer and Shri Chitravina Ravikiran for the past many years. She is also training in Light classical music and Thumri under Smt Kaumudi Munshi ji and Hema Desai ji. She has won many prizes at various festivals and has performed at many venues through out the country.

Her recent concerts include those at the prestigious Saptak festival, Ahmedabad, Bhavans Andheri BCCA, Mumbai, and "Udat Abeel Gulal" performances at the well-known Sangeet Kala Mandir and Bhartiya Bhasha Parishad at Kolkata, and also at Shantiniketan.

Being trained under the well-known maestro Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty ji through online training as well as the "Guru in Residence Workshops" at the NCPA, Mumbai, for which she has been selected twice (20 to 22 July 2014 and 5 to 7 July 2015).

Also training in Light Classical Music — Gujarati Sugam Sangeet, Bhajans, Chaiti, Kajri, Hori and Thumri under Kaumudi Munshi ji, and Hema Desai, Mumbai.

Passed the exams of Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Mumbai in first rank (Hindustani vocal).
